Island Waste Collective Ltd
For over twenty years the team behind Island Waste Collective have been researching, innovating and putting into practice ways to tread more lightly on our island and our world.
Everything we do is about reducing the amount of waste that Waiheke sends to landfill, with Zero Waste as the ultimate goal.
Under our former name Clean Stream Waiheke, we were able to see waste volumes reduce even as the population grew. Being smart about waste has long been ‘The Waiheke Way’.
What we do
We process Separated Recycling, deconstruct appliances for materials, and retrieve Valuable Items Materials to return to the community at great prices through our yard and Recovery Shop.

The Waste Hierarchy is a guide to help waste reduction. Actions at the top get us closer to Zero Waste
